Ingredients:
- 250g pasta
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp cornflour
- Salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper to taste
- 500-750ml milk
- 200g cheddar cheese, cubed
- 1 can tuna in brine
- 1 can tuna in water
- 1/2 cup frozen corn kernels
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese (divided)
- Bread crumbs
Instructions:
Step | Description |

1 | Boil water and cook pasta according to packet instructions. |
2 | Add chopped onion to pasta water while pasta cooks. |
3 | Drain well. |
4 | In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. |
5 | Add flour and whisk to form a roux off the heat. |
6 | Season roux with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. |
7 | Return saucepan to heat and gradually add milk, stirring constantly until the white sauce thickens. |
8 | Remove from heat and add cubed cheddar cheese, stirring until melted. |
