Honey Butter Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Chicken fillet, diced
  • Buttermilk (mixture of milk and lemon juice)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • All-purpose seasoned flour
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce (or substitute Soy Sauce)
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Butter or Margarine
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Cooked rice, to serve

Instructions:

  1. Season diced chicken with salt and pepper. Dip in buttermilk and let it soak for about 15 minutes (you can also marinate overnight in the refrigerator for enhanced flavor).

  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Coat the buttermilk-soaked chicken in seasoned flour according to package instructions. Fry until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together honey, oyster sauce, granulated sugar, soy sauce, and water. Set aside.

  4. In the same pan, sauté minced garlic in butter until fragrant. Add the honey sauce mixture and stir briefly until well combined.
