Brownie Tassies Recipe
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 24 tassies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 24 whole hazelnuts
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare tassie pastry and line mini muffin cups with the pastry.
-
In a saucepan, melt together the chocolate chips and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat.
-
Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
-
Place a whole hazelnut in the center of each pastry-lined cup.
-
Top each hazelnut with approximately 1 rounded teaspoon of the chocolate mixture.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry edges are lightly browned and the chocolate mixture is set.
-
Immediately after removing from the oven, carefully use the tip of a pointed knife to gently nudge each tassie out of its cup and transfer to a wire rack to cool. If they cool in the pan too long, they may stick.
-
Note: The first few tassies might break when removing them from the pan, but with practice, you’ll find the right technique!
These Brownie Tassies are perfect for a quick dessert or a sweet treat to share during holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving. Enjoy the rich chocolate flavor with a delightful hazelnut surprise in every bite!
