Easy Bread Pudding Recipe 🍞

Description: As I was growing up, I had 10 brothers and sisters including myself. We saw a few lean times and sometimes a good bread pudding was the only dessert we would get; but this is an easy, quick, memory-filled dessert, still good for this day and age.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Servings: 6

Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
1 Egg
3/4 cup Sugar
1 cup Milk
2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1/4 cup Oleo (margarine)
Bread cubes

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan or dish and place the bread cubes evenly in it.

  2. Sprinkle Flour: Evenly sprinkle the all-purpose flour over the bread cubes in the baking pan.

  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, sugar, cinnamon, milk, salt, vanilla extract, and oleo until well combined.

  4. Pour Over Bread: Pour the wet ingredient mixture evenly over the bread cubes in the baking pan.

  5. Bake: Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until the top is nicely browned and the pudding is set.

  6. Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm and enjoy it as is or top with your favorite sauce such as vanilla sauce or lemon sauce.

This easy bread pudding recipe is a delightful dessert that brings back nostalgic memories of simpler times. Enjoy the warm, comforting flavors and share it with your loved ones for a taste of tradition with a modern twist! 🥄🍰
