- 1 head cabbage
- 5 potatoes
- 2 onions
- 1/2 cup rice
- 1 tbsp dried dill weed
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 apple, diced
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
Instructions:
- 
Prepare Cabbage Leaves: - Parboil the cabbage and carefully separate the leaves.
- Slice off the thick part of the stalk from each leaf without cutting into the leaf itself.
 
- 
Prepare Filling: - Grate the potatoes, the small inner leaves of cabbage, and one of the onions. Mix them together.
- Add rice, dried dill weed, and black pepper to the potato mixture.
 
- 
Prepare Cabbage Rolls: - Beat the egg whites until frothy and fold them into the potato mixture.
- Set aside a few of the largest cabbage leaves.
- Fill each remaining cabbage leaf with about 2 tablespoons of the potato mixture.
- Fold up the bottom of each leaf, then fold in the sides, and roll up the cabbage leaf. Secure with toothpicks if needed.

Assemble in Crock Pot: - Slice the reserved cabbage leaves and line the bottom of the crock pot with them.
- Slice the second onion and layer it on top of the cabbage leaves.
- Add diced tomatoes, apple, and ground ginger over the onions.
 
- 
Cooking: - Place the rolled stuffed cabbage leaves into the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 4 to 5 hours, or until the cabbage leaves are tender and the filling is cooked through.
 
- 
Serving: - Once cooked, carefully remove the stuffed cabbage rolls from the crock pot.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
