Tumis Green Beans and Carrots, Yellow Fried Chicken, and Boiled Egg

Ingredients:

For the Vegetables:

  • 6 green beans, cut into pieces
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced
  • 1 shallot, thinly sliced
  • 1 red chili, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce (Saori brand)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Seasoning (mecin), to taste

For the Chicken:

  • 1 chicken piece (thigh or drumstick)
  • 1 tablespoon instant yellow fried chicken seasoning
  • 1 boiled egg

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:

    • Heat a small amount of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic, shallot, and red chili, and sauté until fragrant and softened.
    • Add a splash of water to the pan, followed by the green beans and carrots. Stir well to combine and allow the vegetables to cook until they are tender and the flavors are absorbed.
    • Stir in the oyster sauce and season with salt and mecin to taste. Continue to cook for a few more minutes, then remove from heat.
  2. Cook the Chicken:

    • Coat the chicken piece with the instant yellow fried chicken seasoning, ensuring it is evenly covered.
    • Heat oil in a separate pan over medium heat and fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  3. Serve:

    • Arrange the stir-fried vegetables and fried chicken on a plate. Garnish with a boiled egg on the side.

Enjoy this simple yet delicious meal that combines vibrant vegetables, flavorful chicken, and a hearty boiled egg for a satisfying dish!
