Telur Balado Tomat Recipe

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Hard-boiled eggs (fried) 5 eggs
Tomato (can be blended with spices) 1 medium tomato
Galangal (crushed) 1 finger length
Shrimp paste ยฝ teaspoon
Salt To taste
Javanese sugar To taste
Flavor enhancer (optional) To taste
Oil for sautรฉing As needed

Spice Paste:

Ingredient Quantity
Red chili peppers 4 large, seeds removed
Bird’s eye chili 1 (to taste)
Shallots 6
Garlic 3 cloves
Ginger 1 finger length

Instructions:

  1. Sautรฉ the Spice Paste: Heat a bit of oil in a pan, then add the blended spice paste along with the chopped tomato and crushed galangal. Stir-fry the mixture, adding a splash of water if it becomes too dry, until the sambal is well-cooked.

  2. Season the Mixture: Add salt, Javanese sugar, shrimp paste, and optional flavor enhancer. Cook until the flavors meld beautifully, tasting and adjusting as needed.

  3. Incorporate the Eggs: Gently fold in the fried hard-boiled eggs, ensuring they are well-coated with the vibrant Balado sauce.

  4. Serve: Once everything is mixed and the sauce has infused into the eggs, remove from heat and serve warm.
