Spicy & Sweet Pork Chop Steaks for Two 🌶️🍖

Description: Very fast, and easy to make. This recipe is something that I experimented with, and was shocked when I tasted it! My husband loves it! Great for junior chefs, and busy people!

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless center cut pork chops
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons hot salsa
  • 1 tablespoon jam (any flavor you like)
  • 1 teaspoon season salt
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Start by chopping the onion, and mincing the garlic if you’re using fresh garlic instead of jarred minced.

  2. Mix Sauce: In a bowl, combine water, chopped onion, minced garlic, jam, hot salsa, and season salt. Stir until well mixed. Feel free to taste the mixture and adjust seasoning to your liking.

  3. Prep Pork Chops: Take out the pork chops and leave them whole. Using a knife, make random cuts on the surface of the pork chops to allow the sauce to penetrate.

  4. Cooking Process: In a cooking pot with a lid, pour the prepared sauce. Place the pork chops into the pot. Spoon some of the sauce over the top of the pork chops.

  5. Heat: Turn on the stove to medium-high heat until the sauce starts to heat up. Then, reduce the heat to medium and cover the pot. Allow the pork chops to cook, flipping them over every 8-10 minutes.

  6. Baste Pork Chops: While cooking, remember to baste the pork chops with the sauce from the sides of the pot each time you flip them over. Avoid letting the sauce burn onto the bottom of the pot.

  7. Check Doneness: Once cooked, the sauce should have reduced and thickened, but not be too watery.

  8. Serve: Transfer the cooked pork chops onto a plate and top with the remaining sauce from the pot. Serve with rice for a complete meal.

  9. Enjoy: Share and savor this quick and delicious dish with your loved ones!

Additional Notes:

  • If you’re serving more people, simply increase the amount of salsa and jam accordingly, and adjust the rest of the ingredients to taste.
