Sweet and Sour Tuna

Ingredients

  • 10 pieces of tuna fish (about 100 grams)
  • 50 grams green beans (buncis)
  • 1 medium carrot (wortel), julienned
  • 1 ear of sweet corn (jagung manis), kernels removed
  • Seasoning:
    • 1 onion (bawang bombay), sliced
    • 2 ripe tomatoes (tomat merah), chopped
    • 3 tablespoons ketchup (saus tomat)
    • Salt to taste (secukupnya garam)
    • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (gula pasir)
    • Ground black pepper (lada halus) to taste
    • 1 tablespoon margarine for sautéing vegetables

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Aromatics: In a pan, melt the margarine over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and sauté until fragrant, releasing its natural sweetness. Stir in the ground black pepper.

  2. Create the Sauce: Add the chopped tomatoes and ketchup to the pan. Pour in about one cup of water, then add the granulated sugar and salt. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
