Ayam Saus Jeruk Recipe
Ingredients:
- 150 grams chicken fillet, diced
- All-purpose seasoning flour
- Oil for frying
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup water
- Juice of 2 oranges
- 3 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 onion, finely chopped

Prepare the Chicken:
- Coat the diced chicken fillet with all-purpose seasoning flour. Ensure each piece is well-coated.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the coated chicken pieces until they turn golden brown and are cooked through. Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels.

- In a separate pan, bring the water to a boil. Add the granulated sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Add the finely chopped onion to the boiling water. Let it cook for a few minutes until the onion softens.

- Add the mayonnaise to the pan, stirring continuously until the mayonnaise is fully dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry gradually, and continue to cook while stirring until the sauce thickens and reaches a glossy consistency.
- Season with salt to taste.
