Beef Teriyaki Ala-ala 😁
Ingredients:
- 250 grams beef, thinly sliced
- 1 sweet corn, kernels removed
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 shallots, thinly sliced
- Green bell pepper (optional), thinly sliced
- Ginger, thinly sliced
- Teriyaki sauce (I used Saori brand)
- Chili sauce to taste (I used Belibis brand)
- Sweet soy sauce to taste
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Water, as needed
Preparation Steps:
-
Prepare the Beef:
- Rinse the beef thoroughly, then marinate it with teriyaki sauce and a pinch of ground black pepper. Mix well and let it sit for 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
-
Sauté the Aromatics:
- In a large pan, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Add the sliced shallots, minced garlic, and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.
-
Cook the Beef:
- Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook until the beef changes color and is no longer pink.
-
Add the Vegetables:
- Stir in the sweet corn and cook for a few minutes. Add the chili sauce, sweet soy sauce, salt, and water to the pan. Continue to cook until the sauce starts to thicken slightly.
-
Incorporate the Onion and Bell Pepper:
- Add the sliced onion and bell pepper (if using) to the pan. Cook until the vegetables are tender but still slightly crisp.
-
Finish the Dish:
- Let the sauce simmer until it reduces and thickens to your desired consistency.
-
Serve:
- Transfer the beef teriyaki to a serving dish. Enjoy this delicious and flavorful dish with steamed rice or noodles.
Tips:
- Feel free to adjust the level of chili sauce to suit your heat preference.
- You can add other vegetables such as carrots or broccoli for added nutrition and color.
